The purpose of this free web based service is to provide the general public, as well as a technical audience, with an idea of what strong encryption is.

Feel free to use this service and e-mail or post messages up wherever your colleaugues can grab them. Exchange the "key" data in some non-Internet based method (snail-mail, sneaker-net, POTS, etc) because that value is what makes the data generated by this service useful and as secure as it will be. Make it complex because it will drive some of the strength aspects of the final encrypted data. In other words, a key value of "mykey" will not be that secure. Phrases as opposed to single strings are engouraged.

For those who are interested in some of the details at play here, the encryption algorithm implemented is the block-cipher AES Rijndael with a 256-bit block size and 32-bit key size.
